Honour Singapore
Seeking the Well-Being of the Nation
Chairman’s Letter: July 2022
Dear Friends and Partners of Honour (Singapore),

Thank you for your support and encouragement as we remain steadfast with our mission to promote a culture of Honour and Honouring for the well-being of Singapore irrespective of race, language or religion. As we approach National Day, the focus on what is critical and crucial for the future of our nation becomes even more salient. Our hope remains that Singapore continues to be HOME, filled with much Hope and Memory, not only for our generation but for the many generations to come.

With the opening up of Singapore to large gatherings, I write you with good news that we are holding our next Honour International Symposium on 16 September 2022, with more details in the following paragraphs.
HONOUR INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM 2022
The Honour International Symposium is back as our flagship biennial conference where speakers and participants from Singapore and abroad share ideas on how to succeed for the future, as individuals, as families, as organisations, and as nations.

The Symposium was first held in 2016, followed by our second Symposium in 2018. We had to cancel our 2020 Symposium due to COVID19.

I am so glad to be able to announce that the Honour International Symposium 2022 (HIS22) will be held at The Regent Singapore on Friday 16 September 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will be an in-person event which allows for interaction and networking. And we are so pleased that the Guest of Honour will be our Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Mr Lawrence Wong.
HIS22 brings together leaders and future leaders in business, government, and community groups to discuss issues of honour and honouring for successful businesses, stable homes, and strong nations. The theme for the conference will be “Forging Success with I³ - Integration, Innovation, Involvement.”

We speak of “Forging Success” because success can come only with clear vision and determined effort, working together as one where there is trust built on integrity and competence, unity in diversity of talents and abilities, and innovation and creativity driven by courage and imagination.

We visualise these qualities for success as woven together in the three strands of I³ - Integration of effort and ideas, Innovation in thought and leadership, and Involvement in discussion and enterprise.

HIS22 will comprise three discussion segments involving esteemed panel speakers with a broad range of knowledge and experience, whose hearts seek the sustainable success of individuals and the nation for the years to come. They are thought leaders, CEOs of successful start-ups, and youth advocates who will speak their mind and take questions.

We will also have two special international speakers, one from China who was the youngest ever professor with tenure at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the other a Swiss journalist based in Tokyo who speaks his mind on global politics and economics.

Please visit www.HonourInternational.sg to see the exciting programme and the list of distinguished speakers. With HIS22, we expect to benefit participants as they seek to Think Right, Do Right, and Be Right in plotting their way to sustainable success in the years to come. We are confident that as leaders in your current roles, and as you seek to develop as leaders in future appointments, you will find HIS22 a rewarding experience.

As seats will be limited, participation will only be by invitation, and subject to a donation of SGD1,000 per seat. Donations to Honour (Singapore) Ltd qualify for tax deduction as we are an Institution of a Public Character (an IPC). We will have a number of seats which are partially or fully sponsored to cater for those who are keen to attend but could find the expected donation somewhat challenging.

Please register your interest to attend by sending an email to info@HonourInternational.sg, indicating your name, your organisation, your current appointment, and, in the case of corporate interest, the number of seats you wish to have for your people.
THANK YOU
On a closing note, I continue to speak about Honour, on an invitation-only basis, at schools, companies and community groups. In the last quarter, I had the privilege of sharing with several organisations the criticality and cruciality of Honour and Honouring for sustainable success. These occasions inspire and energise me as I also hope they inspire and energise the audiences. If you believe such a session could be a boost to the vision and morale of people in your sphere of influence, do let me know your interest at limsiongguan@honour.sg.

May I wish you and your family again the best of health, happiness and fulfilment in all of your endeavours. Take care. Be safe. Keep well. I look forward to your support and hearing your ideas and feedback. Please feel free at any time to get in touch with me at limsiongguan@honour.sg if you have any comments or suggestions.
